Transfer of functions, powers and duties of existing authorities to department of transportation

27:1A-33. Transfer of functions, powers and duties of existing authorities to department of transportation The New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the New Jersey Expressway Authority and the New Jersey Highway Authority in the State Highway Department, together with all of their functions, powers and duties, are continued as bodies politic and corporate, with corporate succession, but such authorities are transferred to the Department of Transportation established hereunder. The persons in office as members of said authorities on the effective date of this act shall continue to hold their respective offices for the periods of their respective terms which remain unexpired on the effective date of this act and until their respective successors are appointed and have qualified.
