Hearing; adjournment; examination of witnesses

27:16-59. Hearing; adjournment; examination of witnesses The commission shall attend at the time and place appointed. A majority of its members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business and may make any award, but if only one member is present he may adjourn any meeting. The commission may adjourn from time to time. It shall give all parties interested or affected by the taking of any real estate ample opportunity to be heard on the subject of the award and shall have power to examine witnesses under oath, administered by any member.
