26:8-40.31 Evaluation of data, report to Governor, Legislature. 5. a. The Department of Health shall evaluate the data obtained pursuant to section 3 of this act for purposes of identifying the causes of, and ways to prevent, stillbirths, and may contract with a third party, including, but not limited to, a public institution of higher education in the State or a foundation, to undertake the evaluation. b. No later than five years after the effective date of this section, the Commissioner of Health shall report to the Governor, and to the Legislature pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c.164 (C.52:14-19.1), on the findings of the evaluation required pursuant to this section, and shall include in the report any recommendations for legislative action that the commissioner deems appropriate.
