Formation of association for furnishing public health services

26:3-84. Formation of association for furnishing public health services Boards of health of 2 or more municipalities are hereby authorized to form an association to furnish such boards with public health services. Any board of health which desires to participate in such an association shall express its intention so to do by resolution. An association formed under the provisions of this act shall be known as a "regional health commission." Municipalities associating together to form a regional health commission may not withdraw therefrom for a period of 2 years after such municipality shall have joined such association.
