Nuisance on public property; notice

26:3-48. Nuisance on public property; notice Whenever a nuisance, noxious odors, gases or vapors, water in which mosquito larvae breed, or cause of ill health or disease is found on public property or on a highway, notice shall be given by the local board to the person officially in charge thereof to remove and abate the same within such time as the board may specify. If he fails to comply with the notice, the mode of procedure shall be the same as is hereinafter provided in case of a like condition existing on private property.
