26:2S-5.1 Health insurance carriers to provide organ, tissue donation information to subscribers. 1. a. A carrier shall provide to subscribers written informational materials about organ and tissue donation and registration at each contract renewal. The materials shall be developed or approved by a federally designated organ procurement organization, and shall inform subscribers as to how to make an anatomical gift, including information on the registration of a gift in the Donate Life New Jersey registry. b. For purposes of this section, "carrier," as defined in P.L.1997, c.192 (C.26:2S-1 et al.), shall also include the State Health Benefits Program and the School Employees' Health Benefits Program.
