24:6I-7.5 Medical advisory board. 15. a. A medical cannabis cultivator, medical cannabis manufacturer, medical cannabis dispensary, or clinical registrant may appoint a medical advisory board to provide advice to the medical cannabis cultivator, medical cannabis manufacturer, medical cannabis dispensary, or clinical registrant on all aspects of its business. b. A medical advisory board appointed pursuant to this section shall comprise five members: three health care practitioners licensed or certified to practice in New Jersey; one qualifying patient who resides in the same area in which the medical cannabis cultivator, medical cannabis manufacturer, medical cannabis dispensary, or clinical registrant is located; and one individual who owns a business in the same area in which the medical cannabis cultivator, medical cannabis manufacturer, medical cannabis dispensary, or clinical registrant is located. No owner, director, officer, or employee of a medical cannabis cultivator, medical cannabis manufacturer, medical cannabis dispensary, or clinical registrant may serve on a medical advisory board. The membership of a medical advisory board shall be subject to commission approval. c. A medical advisory board appointed pursuant to this section shall meet at least two times per calendar year.
