Actions to restrain violations

24:11A-12. Actions to restrain violations The department, either before or after the institution of an action for the recovery of a penalty imposed by this act for violation of any provision thereof, may institute an action in the Superior Court in the name of the State at the relation of the department, to restrain such violation and for such other relief as the court shall deem proper. Neither the action for the restraint and other relief, nor any of the proceedings therein, shall relieve any party thereto from any penalty prescribed by this act for such violation.
