Compensation of county and municipal clerks

19:45-9. Compensation of county and municipal clerks The boards of chosen freeholders in the several counties may pay the county clerks for extra duties and services imposed upon and performed by them under this title an amount to be fixed by such boards. The governing bodies of the several municipalities may pay the municipal clerks for extra duties and services imposed upon and performed by them under this title an amount to be fixed by such governing body.
