19:23-7.1 Promulgation, publication, candidate nomination petitions. 5. a. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, the Secretary of State shall promulgate and publish the forms to be used for petitions nominating candidates to be voted for at the primary election for the general election by January 1 of each year in which a primary election is to be held. b. Any petition signatures collected by a candidate for office to be voted for at the 2025 primary election utilizing the petition forms published by the Secretary of State prior to the effective date of this act, P.L.2025, c.20 (C.19:23-7.1 et al.), shall be required to comply with the provisions of this act but shall not be subject to a petition challenge based upon the use of a form published by the Secretary of State prior to the effective date of this act.
