Certificates issued to successful municipal candidates; signing and attestation

19:20-9. Certificates issued to successful municipal candidates; signing and attestation The chairman of the board, in the case of an election of officers of a municipality or part thereof, or public questions voted upon in such municipalities, shall issue a certificate to the successful candidate and also a certificate of the approval or rejection of any public question, based upon the statement of the determination of the board, and shall sign his name thereto, which shall be attested by the clerk of the board by signing his name and affixing the seal of the county. The clerk shall without delay deliver such certificates to the various municipal clerks, who shall without delay deliver one of the same to each person who shall be elected.
