18A:71A-29 Transfer of Functions, powers and duties of student assistance board. 18A:71A-29. Transfer of Functions, Powers and Duties of Student Assistance Board. a. The Student Assistance Board in, but not of, the Department of the Treasury established pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1977, c.330 (C.18A:71-15.1), is abolished and all its functions, powers and duties are transferred to the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority in, but not of, the Department of State. b. Whenever, in any law, rule, regulation, order, contract, document, judicial or administrative proceeding or otherwise, reference is made to the Student Assistance Board in, but not of, the Department of the Treasury, the same shall mean and refer to the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority in, but not of, the Department of State. c. Nothing in this act shall be construed to alter the terms and conditions of any loan, grant or scholarship made to students through the board. d. This transfer shall be subject to the provisions of the "State Agency Transfer Act", P.L.1971, c.375 (C.52:14D-1 et seq.). L.1999,c.46,s.1.
