18A:64O-36 Merger authorized, New Jersey City University, Kean University. 3. (New section) In order to carry out the purposes of the �Kean University � New Jersey City University Merger Act,� P.L.2025, c.218 (C.18A:64O-34 et al.) and ensure that the students of New Jersey City University and the people of Hudson County can continue to benefit from a public university located in Jersey City, Kean University shall be authorized to merge with New Jersey City University subject to the completion of the requirements contained in the October 1, 2025 agreement executed between the parties and upon notification by the President of Kean University to the Secretary of Higher Education of satisfaction of the conditions set forth in the agreement.
