18A:46-3.1 Regional consultants for children who are deaf or have a hearing impairment. 1. The Commissioner of Education shall appoint four regional consultants for children who are deaf or have a hearing impairment. The duties of these consultants shall include assisting the child study teams in the educational evaluation and placement of children who are deaf or have a hearing impairment and the development of appropriate individual educational programs, for each child with a disability and significant hearing loss.
