18A:4-40. Monthly, annual and other reports to state board The commissioner shall report to the state board such information as it may prescribe once each month and at such other times as the state board may designate, and he shall report to the state board annually at its December meeting as to the operation and condition of the schools of the public school system and all educational institutions other than institutions of higher education, receiving support or aid from state appropriations, during the previous year, with appropriate statistical tables and such suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of the schools and the advancement of public education within the state as he shall deem expedient and of interest to the people of the state and especially to those concerned with the operation of the public schools.
