Assistant commissioners; appointment; compensation

18A:4-32. Assistant commissioners; appointment; compensation The commissioner, subject to the approval of the State board, shall appoint not more than seven assistant commissioners of education, and fix their compensation, and he shall from time to time designate one of them to act in his place and stead during his absence.
