Certificate of authority existing prior to effective date of act; expiration; renewal

17B:35-1. Certificate of authority existing prior to effective date of act; expiration; renewal Every certificate of authority of an insurer in force immediately prior to the effective date of this act and existing under any law herein repealed shall be valid until midnight of the last day of April next following such effective date, unless earlier terminated in accordance with this act. Such certificate of authority upon first renewal under this act shall be replaced by a certificate of authority in form as consistent with this act, and shall thereafter be subject to continuance, suspension, revocation or termination as though originally issued under this act.
