17B:33-4. Service of process on persons acting on behalf of unauthorized insurer In addition to other methods authorized for the service of process and other papers upon an unauthorized insurer, such service may be made upon any agent, servant, employee or representative thereof within this State acting in the discharge of his duties. In addition to other forms of activity, any such person shall be deemed to be acting in this State on behalf of such insurer when he a. solicits or negotiates insurance, or b. makes, issues or delivers any contract of insurance, or c. collects or receives any premium, membership fees or dues, assessment or other consideration for insurance.
