17B:17-25. Date of application a. Except as provided in section 4, this act applies to all policy forms filed on or after 2 years after the effective date of this act. No policy form shall be delivered or issued for delivery in this State on or after 5 years after the effective date of this act unless filed or approved by the commissioner or permitted to be issued under this act. Any policy form which has been filed or approved or permitted to be issued prior to 5 years after the effective date of this act and which meets the standards set by this act need not be resubmitted for filing or approval but may continue to be lawfully delivered or issued for delivery in this State upon the filing with the commissioner of a list of such forms identified by form number and accompanied by a certificate as to each such form in the manner provided in section 5d. b. The commissioner may, in his sole discretion, extend the dates in subsection a. of this section. L.1979, c. 167, s. 9, eff. Aug. 6, 1979.
