Notice of auction

17:9A-294. Notice of auction At least sixty days notice of a public auction to be held pursuant to section 293 shall be given by registered mail to each person claiming to have or appearing on the books of the bank to have an interest in the unclaimed property. Notice of the auction shall also be published once a week for the three weeks next preceding the week in which the auction is to take place, in a newspaper published in the municipality in which the bank last maintained its principal office, and, if there be no such newspaper, then in one published in the county in which the bank last maintained its principal office or in an adjoining county, and which has a general circulation in such municipality.
