Examinations; inquiries

17:35-9. Examinations; inquiries All corporations to which this article is applicable, with their books, papers and vouchers, shall be subject to visitation and inspection by the commissioner, or by a person he designates. The commissioner may address any inquiries to the corporation relative to its transactions or condition, or any other matter connected with its transactions relative to the business contemplated by this article. All officers of the corporation shall promptly reply in writing to all the inquiries, under the oaths of its president or secretary or other officers, if required. The necessary expenses of examinations made under this article shall be paid to the commissioner by the corporation examined.
