Licenses remain property of State

17:22B-19. Licenses remain property of State 19. a. All licenses shall at all times be the property of the State of New Jersey and upon any suspension, revocation, refusal to renew, expiration or other termination shall no longer be in force and effect. Upon any suspension, revocation or other termination of a license, the licensee or other person having possession or custody of the license shall immediately deliver it to the commissioner by personal delivery or by registered or certified mail. b. If a license is lost, stolen or destroyed, the commissioner may accept in lieu of the return of the license the affidavit of the licensee or other person or persons responsible for the license, stating the facts of that loss, theft or destruction.
