Notice to lessee as to insurance and contents of vaults, etc.

17:14A-49. Notice to lessee as to insurance and contents of vaults, etc. An agreement for the rental vaults, safe deposit boxes or other receptacles for the storage and safekeeping of personal property shall contain language in bold face type substantially as follows: Important Notice The contents of your vault, safe deposit box or storage receptacle are not protected against loss by the lessor unless specifically indicated in this notice, and for your protection you may wish to secure your own insurance for protection against loss with an insurance company of your own choice. You should keep a complete list and description of all your property stored in your vault, safe deposit box or storage receptacle and any available proof of ownership. A copy of the notice shall be posted in the principal office of the company and in each branch office and shall be given to each lessee before the lessee enters into an agreement for the rental of a vault, safe deposit box or other receptacle for the storage and safekeeping of personal property.
