16:19-6. President; powers and duties The trustees shall elect at their first meeting one of their number to be the president of the board of trustees. The president may convene the board as occasion may require, preside at the meetings thereof, and may execute, for and in the name of the board of trustees, all contracts, deeds, leases, mortgages or other instruments required to be executed by the board. In case of his absence, sickness, death, resignation or removal from the limits of the association, the board of trustees shall elect one of their number to fill the office of president for the time being, who shall occupy the same until the disability of the president is removed or until the election of his successor.
