13:9-7.1. Mandatory training requirements for fire service instructors 7. In accordance with the legislative findings and declarations in section 1 of P.L.1995, c.266, training for fire service instructors of forestland fire fighters shall be mandatory and shall be implemented under the authority and pursuant to regulations of the Department of Environmental Protection. This training requirement shall apply to instructors of fire fighters with the State forest fire service in the Division of Parks and Forestry of the Department of Environmental Protection whose job descriptions, duties and training standards are determined, regulated and implemented by the State forest fire service in accordance with standards of the United States Forest Service and of nationally recognized forest fire service associations or organizations.
