13:1B-15.178 Standards for use of pollinator-friendly native plant species in grid supply solar facilities. 8. No later than one year after the effective date of P.L.2021, c.169 (C.48:3-114 et al.), the Department of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the board, shall establish standards for the use of pollinator-friendly native plant species and seed mixes in grid supply solar facilities, which are designed to reduce stormwater runoff and erosion, and provide native perennial vegetation and foraging habitat beneficial to gamebirds, songbirds, and pollinators, and which consider compatibility with the security and reliability of grid supply solar facilities.
