13:17-72. Apportionment of balance among constituent municipalities; prohibition of payments to commission (a) If, in any adjustment year, the amount payable to the constituent municipalities by the intermunicipal account for guarantee payments and school district service payments is less than the amount payable to the intermunicipal account pursuant to section 65 of this act, the balance, if any, shall be apportioned among the constituent municipalities in the same ratio as the number of acres within the district of each constituent municipality bears to the total number of acres in the district, and shall be known as an apportionment payment. (b) The commission shall not be able to receive any funds from the intermunicipal account for any purpose. L.1968, c. 404, s. 70. Amended by L.1972, c. 103, s. 9, eff. July 19, 1972.
