13:13A-10. Rules and regulations; powers of employees as peace officers The department shall, with the approval of the commission, have power to make such rules and regulations for the use and protection of the park as may, in its judgment, be necessary. The department shall, subject to the approval of the Attorney General and in accordance with such regulations for the protection of the public safety and welfare as the Attorney General shall prescribe, further have power to vest in such of its employees as it may be determined to be necessary the powers and duties of peace officers for the abatement of nuisances, stopping of abuses, and protection and management of the park under any rules and regulations the department may prescribe.
