Grants to municipalities to lay and maintain sewer pipes under and along canal right of way

13:12-10. Grants to municipalities to lay and maintain sewer pipes under and along canal right of way The board of directors of the canal and banking company shall have power to grant to any municipality or municipalities the right and easement of laying, constructing, replacing, renewing and forever maintaining, under or along the right of way of the Morris canal, sewer pipes for the preservation of the purity of the potable waters of this state and the protection of the health of the inhabitants of such municipality or municipalities. Any such grant or grants shall be made only when the board of directors is satisfied that such pipes are necessary and convenient. All pipes laid under any such grant or grants shall be laid under the supervision of and in the manner prescribed by the board of directors.
