12:7-73 Fees for certain licenses, deposit of revenues; digitized pictures. 4. a. The fee for a 48-month power vessel operator's license required pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.401 (C.12:7-72) shall be $18 and shall be paid to the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Of the revenue derived from the fees imposed by this subsection, beginning July 1 following the date of enactment of P.L.2017, c.301, the sum of $500,000 shall be annually credited to and deposited in the "Lake Hopatcong Fund" established pursuant to section 12 of P.L.2000, c.175 (C.58:4B-12) and the remaining revenue shall be deposited into the General Fund. b. Each New Jersey power vessel operator's license issued pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.401 (C.12:7-72) shall have a digitized color picture of the licensee. In addition to the fee required pursuant to subsection a. of this section, the fee for the digitized color picture shall be $6 for each license or renewal. A person who lends any operator's license required pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.401 (C.12:7-72) to another person shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $100. b. A person owning or having control or custody of a power vessel who allows the power vessel to be operated by a non-licensed operator shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100. c. A person operating a power vessel who exhibits the operator's license of another shall be subject to a fine of not less than $200 or to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 60 days, or both. d. A person who exhibits the operator's license of another for purposes of identification in any situation other than as described in subsection c. of this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $100.
