Adoption of resolution after favorable vote

1:6-14. Adoption of resolution after favorable vote If, at such election, a majority of all of the votes cast both for and against the adoption of such proposal shall be cast in favor of the adoption thereof, it shall be the duty of said governing body or board of chosen freeholders to adopt a resolution authorizing the filing of a petition with the Legislature for the passage of a private, special or local law of the general nature described in the petition within thirty days after the holding of such election.
